Arizona has its quaint and kitschy neighborhoods. It’s a place full of adorable out-of-the-way spots where everyone seems to have their own hometown secrets. We’ve asked about favorite ‘hoods before but this time we’re getting a little more specific with the Favorite Block Challenge. Throughout the year, we’ll be exploring different streets and avenues to find the hidden gems around the Valley (and, maybe, the rest of the state). Please feel free to send us something about your favorite street and maybe it’ll make our page!
To kick us off, we decided to look to our very own block. That’s right, YabYum HQ and home to the editorial staff is located on Farmer Avenue in Tempe. We set out for a Saturday night adventure confined to Farmer Avenue, that short stretch of road running between Broadway to just past 1st Street.

To start the evening off right, we grabbed some grub from Thai Basil.
Next, we headed across the way to the Tempe Farmer’s Market for drinks. Now, we’re not super big alcohol drinkers but we love a good, non-corrupt soda. The Farmer’s Market has quite the selection for the discerning consumer.
Finally, we moseyed down to the Sail Inn for some rock’n’roll.

All in all, a great night to be had on Farmer Ave.
