1. Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Jeremy Yocum. I am a screen printer, painter, doodler and teacher.
2. How did you get your start?
I have been creating for as long as I can remember. My parents always supported my interest in art (maybe not always understood it, but supported it).
3. What inspires you?
Color inspires me and so does humor. 1980’s Saturday morning cartoons definitely influenced me a ton. I also appreciate looking at common things with a quirky, skewed view.
4. What do you like about AZ?
The food, the geography and the winter.
5. Where can we see you(r) work?
Currently I have work on display at the Orange Table in Tempe (they have jalapeno pecan pancakes).
6. What would you like to accomplish before you die?
I want to illustrate children’s books. I would also like to have a line of skateboards with my work on them.
7. What is your mantra?
Power through and keep moving forward all while keeping your sense of humor.
