“Permanent Maniac”
The singer & multi-instrumentalist known as GRAE released her sophomore EP, Permanent Maniac, on August 26th along with this music video for the title track. This song hits on those early obsessive crushes nearly all of us had on that one musician. You know the one. Well, for GRAE, that musician was Robert Smith of The Cure. Breathy vocals and an early indie instrumental end are driving “Permanent Maniac” up my list of personal favorites right now. The song is cool and grrrly with a bitchin’ guitar solo. What’s not to love? For the music video, GRAE returns to her adolescent bedroom to reminisce.
