1. Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Matty Steinkamp. I’m the owner of Sundawg Media, a creative marketing group based out of Phoenix, Arizona. We specialize in video production and multi-media marketing tools. I produce, direct, and create music videos, commercials, video testimonials, web sites, logos, and press photos. Sundawg Media also is the marketing arm for Last Exit Live, Apache Lake Music Festival, Elevationfest, as well many other clients all around the country.
2. How did you get your start?
I started Sundawg in 2007 helping bands and friends with getting their music produced. I learned a lot of my skills from James Keenan of A Life of Science as well as many of my friends in the film business in California. I never went to school for film or photography but I did study advertising and design up at NAU. After a bunch of trial and error I moved into doing music videos for bands including What Laura Says, The Wiley Ones and A Life of Science. From there I helped organize many big events. I worked on the X Games Music Stage and Kids Day at both Summer and Winter X Games in California and Colorado, then onto booking shows and tours for bands such as Kongos, Jared and The Mill as well as What Laura Says, The Wiley Ones and A Life of Science from 2007 – 2013. Pretty much all of 2013 has been working on marketing for Last Exit Live, AZ festivals, and music videos.
3. What inspires you?
My family, my friends, good music, and good people.
4. What do you like about AZ?
I love it here! I was born and raised here. I love the sports teams, the weather as well the community that the music scene has become.

6. What would you like to accomplish before you die?
I would like to direct and produce a Superbowl Halftime commercial, own an island, and see one of my friend’s bands win a Grammy.
