Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Jenny Odom, a.k.a. iggyart. I live in a little town in Northern Florida. I make art and run a small art and music space.
How did you get your start?
That’s a lot of years to think back upon, as I have had many “starts” along the way. I worked in graphic arts out of college, and then metamorphosized into more of a fine artist, but I still lean heavily on line and graphic images.
What inspires you?
Life inspires me. The resiliency of people inspires me.
What do you like about AZ?
The people. The diversity. The cities heat you up, and the mountains and big open sky cool you down.
Where can we see you(r) work?
This month I have a new body of work on display at The Hive in downtown Phoenix. 2222 16th Street. A wonderful art space set on the edge of Coronado Historic neighborhood. It is also home to The Bee’s Knees, Mer*Made Jewelry, Wasted Ink Zine Distro, Composite Boutique, and the coffee shop, Buzz Beans, opens at 6:30 AM. You can always find me online, posting new work often on Instagram, or iggyart.
What would you like to accomplish before you die?
I look forward to more good times with my family and friends. Making new friends, playing good music, laughing and enjoying a colorful world of people.
What is your mantra?
I like to live by a simple mantra: no expectations.
