REBELMATIC is a long-standing member of the NYC underground and hardcore scene and this new single is here to remind everyone that they’re not going anywhere anytime soon. “Blood and Gold” embodies all the insurrectionary punk rock energy needed to keep a movement going. And the change-up after the two-minute mark will kick your ass. Seriously. “Blood and Gold” comes to us from REBELMATIC’s forthcoming LP, Ghost In The Shadows, which the band describes as “centered around freedom, justice, equality, trauma, and finding the light when in a dark place.” That sounds like the kind of post-metal punk-rock we all could use to help channel our indignant rage in the right directions.
