This all-femme garage rock trio from Philadelphia takes the name for their new track from the woman widely regarded as the first Bond girl. While “Honey Ryder” offers new hope, new beginnings, and new love in the melodic lyrics, the murky post-rock atmosphere of the instrumentation suggests that disillusionment has come and gone here. Total Rubbish signed to Born Losers Records this year so that’s one good thing to come out of the pandemic as it bodes well for more new music on the horizon.
