The 2nd Annual Fervor Records Music Business Summit is returning once again to the Glendale Public Library and this is some friendly advice from us here at the Yum: you should probably go.
Featuring an awesome assortment of guests and panels, this second MBS continues where the first one left off: “with the goal of educating and elevating aspiring music business newbies as well as providing continued education for established professionals.”
And Fervor has brought in some pretty great people to help make that happen. Gareth Smith (Sub Pop Records), DC Parmet (Elton John), and John Taylor (Ernst & Young) along with Fervor Records own David Hilker and Jeff Freundlich are just a few of the names to appear at the event. Everything from music supervisors to lawyers to publishers will be on hand offer their sage wisdom and even take questions from the audience.
The list of scheduled panels looks stellar as well. “7 Dumb Mistakes To Kill Your Career”, “Dot The i’s, Cross The t’s And Get Serious About Music IP”, “Everything You Wanted To Know About Entertainment Marketing But Were Too Afraid To Ask”, and “Hello, Yellow Brick Road” are just of the talks to be given, with the rest seemingly just as interesting.
OK, so I know by now that many of you might be thinking, “Yeah, sure, this all sounds great, but how much is something like this gonna’ cost me?” Here’s the kicker: it’s free. Yup, FREE. All day long. Seating is limited however, so you have to RSVP online if want to attend. If you still need MORE incentive you can check out the complete list of panels and honored guests at the official Fervor Records Music Business Summit 2019 website.
